Netflix is overflowing with content and, if we’re being honest, most of it is terrible. Not worth your time watching at all. Our goal? To guide you toward the best TV shows on Netflix to blow your cheap Netflix gift cards on.
All of the TV shows that we recommend on this page have been rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is no mean feat!
The Dragon Prince
The Dragon Prince is a animated show set in the world of Xadia. A magical-filled world packed full of magical creatures. It is a story of war, friendship, dragons, and magic. There are a few seasons to watch. For many, this is a show that has gone a bit under the radar, so you’ll almost certainly enjoy tapping into it.
Mo
Mo is a TV show that we really, really wish more people would have watched. It only got one season, and it is unlikely to return for a second. This is a crying shame, since we loved the humor and the plot. Who thought the journey of a Palestinian refugee in the US would be so funny?
Arcane: League of Legends
Gaming TV shows are all the rage right now. Most of them are terrible (see: Halo) and others are amazing (see: Fallout). Arcane: League of Legends falls squarely into the former category. The story here is tremendous, and the animation is even better. This show was so well-received that many of the game fans started to demand a better story in the actual game.
Red Rose
Red Rose is a unique British TV show. It has blends of horror, comedy, and mystery. When people start download the Red Rose phone app, it triggers an investigation into a spate of murders tied to it. It is mile a minute fun, and there’s always something happening in the show. We never expected what this show would throw at us, and if we could wipe our minds and watch it again, we would.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Set in a Cyber Punk world this anime has the same plot as the video game and the tabletop RPG. If you’re looking for a good anime, albeit with a slightly western twist, then we doubt that you’ll get much better than this.
Katla
When the volcano Katla erupts, plenty of mysteries need solving in the nearby town’s world. You’ll have to read some subtitles if you don’t speak Finnish, but we feel it is more than worth it.
Derry Girls
Technically, Derry Girls isn’t a Netflix TV show. However, since Netflix is the only place to find it outside of the UK, we’ll class it as one. This is a ‘real’ comedy set in 1990s troubles-hit Northern Ireland. Follow a group of schoolgirls as they experience life at school, while surrounded by terrorists. Don’t worry. It is more fun than it sounds. It is one of the highest rated comedies on the platform!
